BT has come up with a new Wi-Fi router system, the first of its kind in the UK, which promises to effectively eliminate “dead spots”. The system comprises three compact, 165mm discs, each with four built-in antenna which extend the Wi-Fi signal around your home.
Based on three separate discs, “intelligent self-configuring wireless network” technology enables users to switch to the fastest, strongest and most reliable Wi-Fi signal when they move from room to room.
Users can see who is online and pause the internet, and a secure network enables peace of mind that the Wi-Fi network is safe and secure.
The disc-based innovation creates a seamless network for small office environments, and its simplicity and functionality represent a significant step forward in the SME and home working arenas.
Greg Johnson, BT Business Manager, said: “Wi-Fi has become an inherent component of everyday life in our home and working lives. Easy set-up is combined with a host of powerful features with intelligent backhaul channel and band selection.”
This is ideal for someone who wants connection to be seamless throughout their house or office, and also appealing if you wish to “pause” connection to keep people off during meal times, or whenever you want the family to talk to each other.
