Thousands of jobs created to cope with Christmas demand

Christmas is coming and the festive season haChristmas post box full sizes created a jobs bonanza across the UK.

Thousands of jobs are up for grabs across the employment market to cope with the rush of shoppers eager to spend their cash on gifts to family and friends.

The mass jobs creation is great news for the economy, and recruitment agencies who are helping to quickly fill vacancies across multiple industries.

Available work ranges from sales assistants to warehouse staff and parcel couriers.

Royal Mail alone are looking to recruit an army of 19,000 helpers to cope with the Christmas mountain of parcels, festive cards, and letters to Santa so they get delivered on time. These temporary roles are available across Great Britain and will last until January.

In addition parcel couriers, Yodel, are recruiting 5,000 extra drivers to cope with delivering the surge of online sales orders.

High street retailers are preparing for the festive rush, as Marks & Spencer are taking on 20,000 staff, Amazon want an extra 19,000 helpers, and Sainsbury’s are hiring 15,000 workers. Other big names such as John Lewis, Boots, Argos and Debenhams have also created thousands of jobs to cope with demand at the sales tills.
